  • It must be ISO50 standard (normal towbar size).
  • The maximum capacity of the towbar must be greater than the combined weight of the Thule bike rack and the bikes you wish to transport.
  • The towbar must be made of steel or a strong equivalent material.
  • Depending on local legal requirements, the electrical connection must be either a 7-pin or 13-pin socket.
  • The electrical socket must not be positioned directly on or just below the towball so it does not interfere with the rack installation.
